We’ve been slightly obsessed with Sol Lewitt recently. An artist mostly known for his paintings and sculptures, he was also an avid photographer. And back in the day when New York’s Lower East Side was, let’s just say ‘a little rough around the edges’, Lewitt documented the exteriors to the tune of 666 photographs. We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to showcase 120 of them on the exterior of Mondrian Soho.
And now we’re excited to have partnered with The Fox is Black for Sol Lewitt wallpapers for desktop, iPad and iPhone usage. The Lower East Side might have cleaned up quite a bit, but its nostalgia can now live on almost anywhere.
